Blog Post #3: Game Idea
Hi guys! I've officially picked out my game idea to work on: the 3rd person platformer.
The idea I have is the player gets to run through the POV of Yverne, our princess who has lived her whole life in the secluded castle in The Thicket, guarded by a ferocious beast. One day, a young adventurer comes to break her out, and from the castle window, Yverne catches a glimpse of her-- it's love at first sight! Unfortunately, the adventurer gets herself captured and locked in a separate wing of the tower. It's up to Yverne to escape and break them both out!

For this week, I made some edits to my simple character design sheet for Yverne, the main character. I have a simple, but more detailed design for the overall character in case I get the chance to draw out a short cutscene. I also included a small but cute design I wanted to have for a miniature in-game model. I was thinking something small would be easier to model than an entire full body. I'm hoping to be able to use a lot of the tricks we're currently learning in 3D modelling to make a decent amount of my own assets.
